Easter weekend 2 - 4 April 2010

Bards, Ballads and Bulldust Festival at the Ancient Briton Hotel

The weekend activities will be presented by 'Tui Award' winning high country balladeer, Phil Garland and based around the historic Ancient Briton Pub, which is hosting the event. Festival goers will be treated to some top quality Kiwi Country / Folk music and bush poetry relevant to the New Zealand High Country. As well as being home to Ross 'Blue Jeans' McMillan, one of the finest bush poets in the country, and local goldfields poet Des Styles, the Naseby festival will also play host to bush balladeers and poets from across the Ditch and around the country.

April 2010 - R&R Sport Naseby 12 Hour Race

Mountain biking race held in the Naseby Forest area. Competitors are based at the Naseby camping grounds.

19 June 2010 - Highland Ball

Maniototo Icerink's annual Highland Ball - a great band, top pipers and a stunning country supper complete with haggis!

28 August 2010 - Great Naseby Water Race

This unique ultra-marathon event takes place near Naseby. The course is set around a 10 km loop, the first half along a gravel road and the second half on a forest track beside the water race. For more information go to www.greatnasebywaterrace.co.nz.

October 2010 - Auto Show

Vintage, classic car, motorcycle and machinery show & swap meet. Now in its 3rd year this popular event attracts vehicle and machinery enthusiasts from across the south.

Sunday 24 October 2010 - Quiz Night

Come along to a fun-filled Family Quiz Night at the Naseby Town Hall. The event is a fund-raiser for the Naseby Information Centre. Tables can be booked prior to the event at the Information Centre in Derwent Street.

31 December 2010 - Street Party

New Year's Eve Street Party to celebrate the year that is past and greet the new year.

1 January 2011 - Family Fun Day

Family Fun Day on the Naseby Domain with all sorts of traditional family games and entertainment.
