As part of a wider Maniototo initiative, in 2012 Naseby Vision employed Dave Carraher from Waipiata under the Task Force Green Scheme, with financial support from the Otago Community Trust, to research the historic sites in and around Naseby with a view to establishing a walking trail around Naseby's historic landmarks.
The trail is set out in a companion brochure which has been published by Naseby Vision. The brochure is available free of charge at the Naseby Information Centre and at local businesses and at all iSites throughout Central Otago. The brochure contains information about each of the sites and also includes a range of historic photographs of the town.
Later this year Naseby Vision will be installing 4 information panels at key locations in Leven Street, Avoca Street and Derwent Street to provide visitors with more information about the town's colourful history.
